Under Article 84 of the Saudi Labor Law, the gratuity is calculated as half a month's wage for each of the first five years of service, then a full month's wage for each subsequent year, with partial years counted proportionally. On resignation, Article 85 applies instead: nothing for under 2 years of service, one-third for 2–5 years, two-thirds for 5–10 years, and the full gratuity for 10 years or more.
Certain exceptions entitle you to the full gratuity regardless of years served: for example, contract termination due to force majeure, or a female employee resigning within six months of marriage or three months of childbirth (Article 87). The calculator above doesn't apply these exceptions automatically. If one applies to you, contact us to confirm your full entitlement.
The result shown above is approximate and based on basic salary, while the law's "actual wage" may include certain fixed allowances such as housing and transport. For an accurate calculation that accounts for the specifics of your contract, reach out to us on WhatsApp.
